Editorial recommendations

  • Avoid footnotes as far as possible.
  • Avoid parenthetical remarks.
  • Integrate appendices (if any) into the text.
  • cc recommends the author-year bibliography style.  (This is automatic with \documentclass{cc} unless you force something different.)
  • Make sure your title is short and descriptive. If the title is too long provide a short \titlehead{…}.  Words like “computational complexity of” are superfluous.
  • Remember to insert the submission date, use the format \received{24 December 2009}.
  • If a conference version has previously appeared, \cite it and put a sentence like “An extended abstract of this paper has appeared as \cite{…}” or “Previous versions …” in the acknowledgment section.
  • Run your text through a spellchecker.
